1. Relationship between Wheelo and Drivers
Wheelo Ltd operates a technology platform that connects passengers with independent transport providers. Drivers using the platform act as independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Wheelo.
2. Provision of Transport Services
Drivers are solely responsible for providing transport services to passengers. Wheelo does not provide transport services and does not operate as a transport operator.
3. Driver Eligibility and Compliance
Drivers must:
- hold a valid driving licence
- hold all required private hire or transport licences applicable in their operating area
- maintain appropriate hire and reward insurance
- comply with all local transport laws and regulations
- have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
Drivers are solely responsible for maintaining compliance at all times.
4. Onboarding and Verification
Drivers must complete identity and document verification, including via third-party providers such as Veriff, before being activated on the platform. Wheelo may approve, refuse, suspend, or remove drivers at its discretion. Verification may be repeated from time to time.
5. Driver Content and Uploads
Drivers may upload vehicle photos and documents for verification purposes. Uploaded content is private and non-public.
Drivers retain ownership of their content but grant Wheelo a limited licence to use it solely to operate and manage the platform. Wheelo may review, approve, reject, or delete uploads.
6. Earnings and No Guarantees
Wheelo does not guarantee any level of earnings, bookings, or availability of work. There is no exclusivity, and drivers are free to use other platforms.
7. Suspension and Termination
Wheelo may suspend or terminate a driver’s access to the platform for safety, compliance, or breach of these terms. Suspension or termination may occur with or without notice, depending on the circumstances.
8. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Drivers must ensure any personal data they process is handled lawfully.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Wheelo shall not be liable for losses arising from the provision of transport services by drivers.
10. Governing Law
These Driver Terms are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
